Global advisory firm KNAV acquires specialized risk technology consultancy Fastrics, enhancing its governance, risk, and compliance practices while scaling connected reporting and Workiva implementation capabilities for enterprise clients worldwide.
Global accounting and advisory firm KNAV has completed its strategic acquisition of Fastrics, a specialist consultancy in technology-enabled risk advisory and financial reporting automation. The acquisition greatly extends KNAV's existing governance risk compliance practice, giving it the capability to offer full end-to-end Workiva implementations, internal audit transformations, and ESG reporting solutions to its global corporate client base. The integration of Fastrics' technical team and their suite of automation tools will significantly enhance KNAV's ability to deal with the increasing regulatory complexity in North America, Europe and Asia.
Combining Fastrics’ deep technical expertise with KNAV's global accounting infrastructure creates a unified advisory platform built for enterprise reporting challenges. The combined entity will deliver a much simpler way of managing complex data flows for the corporate finance and risk teams.
Expanded implementation capabilities for cloud-based connected reporting platforms (Workiva, SEC filing tools, etc.)
Advanced internal controls automation to reduce compliance overhead for public companies and pre-IPO entities.
Enhanced sustainability and ESG disclosure frameworks in line with the latest international accounting standards.
Underscoring the strategic value of the business combination, Vaibhav Manek, Senior Partner at KNAV, emphasized the growing enterprise demand for integrated compliance architectures: “Fastrics brings deep domain capabilities in connected reporting and risk automation that perfectly complement our global advisory footprint, allowing us to deliver seamless compliance and reporting solutions to our clients.”
Fastrics' leadership was in agreement with this, stating that joining KNAV enables them to scale their tech-enabled risk management solutions much more rapidly on a global basis.
As regulators around the world are increasingly demanding greater levels of financial disclosure and data integrity, boards are looking more and more to consolidated advisory partners rather than a range of disparate point solutions. The acquisition gives KNAV the ability to better serve the CRO, the controller, and the internal audit executive.
Direct access to specialist risk automation consultants in the key financial jurisdictions.
Accelerated roll-out of continuous monitoring technologies for enterprise risk management.
Strategic acquisitions in the risk tech space are a clear indication of the move towards tech-enabled accounting and compliance delivery. The acquisition of Fastrics is a move that will see KNAV well placed to meet the increasing demand from enterprises for agile, technology-driven compliance. CIO Bulletin views this development as a significant step in the evolution of cross-border corporate governance and connected reporting.
