Informatica Ushers in a New Era of Database Management with Smarter, AI-Driven Agents

Informatica introduces prebuilt AI agents, new development capabilities, and advanced governance tools.

Informatica has unveiled a major upgrade to its Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), introducing new AI-driven tools and prebuilt agents designed to simplify data quality, exploration, and automation. The Fall 2025 platform update marks a key milestone in the company’s ongoing push to make data more intelligent, secure, and ready for AI applications.

The update adds a hub for domain-specific agents and automation features that help teams build “agentic AI” systems faster. Among the first of these are the Claire Agents, which include tools for data quality, data exploration, enterprise discovery, and pipeline building. These agents are designed to handle repetitive data management tasks, freeing up teams to focus on innovation.

According to Krish Vitaldevara, Chief Product Officer at Informatica, the new agents were built based on real-world customer feedback. “We designed these agents to simplify high-impact data management tasks and accelerate AI outcomes,” he said.

The release also introduces AI Agent Engineering and AI Agent Hub, which allow users to create and manage their own agents through a no-code interface. These tools reduce setup time dramatically, helping both technical and non-technical users connect data to AI-driven workflows.

Industry analysts say the update turns Informatica’s platform from a traditional data management tool into a foundation for autonomous, AI-ready systems. With improved governance, enhanced reasoning through Claire GPT, and multi-factor authentication, Informatica’s latest move signals a new era in intelligent database management.
