E-learning will increase the digital inclusion and access to Wi-Fi and Starlink-powered Wi-Fi in ISU Roxas Campus will boost this stability.
The establishment of the Free Wi-Fi for All programs by the Starlink satellite internet has been a significant move towards digital transformation at Isabela State University (ISU) Roxas Campus. The connectivity upgrade provided is disabled until the second semester of academic year 2025- 2026, when it becomes active.
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is spearheading a program that will enhance digital accessibility in government institutions, particularly those facing geographical disadvantages. According to the officials of the university, the new infrastructures allow a high-speed and stable internet to support teaching, research, and administration.
In his case, Campus Administrator Emerson V. Barcellano observed that the enhanced connectivity through improved editing will highly promote the interaction of e-learning all over the campus. Online reporting and research are now possible with increased efficiency by faculty and staff, and improved access is provided to e-learning platforms, digital libraries, and collaboration tools by students.
Online enrollment systems, learning management systems, and virtual meetings are also supported by the improved network, increasing the preparedness of the University for blended and technology-based education. Barcellano asserts that this development makes e-learning opportunities encompassing and available to all students irrespective of location and economic status.
Outside the academic circle, the project enhances digital inclusion and sustainability in the institutions in the long term. In a move to move the ISU Roxas towards a more integrated future, the university once again declared its intent of prioritizing innovation, inclusivity and high-quality e-learning environments with the academic population.
