In anticipation of snow and potentially cold temperatures, Edwardsville District 7 will hold device pick up on January 4 for potential E-Learning days.
Edwardsville District 7 plans to give out devices to students and families on January 4 from 10a.m. to 2p.m. for severe weather. Its expected snow will result in temperatures dropping below the threshold for using e-learning days in the district.
A half to 1 inch will fall early in the evening Thursday, and 3-5 inches through Friday into Saturday it's projected to dump, according to the National Weather Service. Therefore, families are encouraged by District 7 officials to visit their school during the specified hours if they need devices for e-learning.
While any internet-enabled device works for e-learning purposes, notice about the e-learning decision for January 6-the first day back from winter break, will be sent to families via email and phone. E-learning would help students continue their studies without any interruption caused by weather conditions.
