Capital Group, Appoints, Former Goldman Sachs Executive, APAC Enterprise Relations

With the appointment of Pooja Grover Madduri to lead enterprise relationship management and institutional partnerships in APAC, Capital Group augments Enterprise Asset Management.

Pooja Grover Madduri, a seasoned executive from Goldman Sachs, has been appointed by Capital Group to lead Asia Pacific enterprise relationship management. She will also be overseeing global financial institutions (GFIs) distribution and scaling partnerships across the region.

Madduri had spent 23 years at Goldman Sachs, where she was the chief of staff for the firm's APAC executive office. She will be based in Hong Kong and report to Tim Murphy, Global Head of Enterprise Relationship Management, and Tetsuya Koizumi, Head of the Asia-Pacific Client Group.

She is taking the position during a time of structural change within Goldman Sachs, following the departure of Stuart Wrigley, Head of Client Solutions for asset management in the APAC region, as Ron Lee, Head of Private Wealth Management in Asia recently expanded his role to co-lead the Client Solutions Group.

The new hire will thus underpin the Capital Group's Enterprise Asset Management approach and correspondingly, client engagement and institutional partnerships. The Group's orientation towards Enterprise Asset Management supports its objective of creating sustainable value for the purview of global financial institutions.

This leadership appointment further solidifies Capital Group's ability to strengthen its institutional distribution in the Asia-Pacific region while Enterprise Asset Management continues to develop.
