Open Study College has recently improved EdTech with the Ohana platform to make online learning more straightforward, enhance student engagement, and currently record the highest learning enrollments ever in the UK.
A significant redesigned overhaul of a UK-based distance learning provider, Open Study College, which began in 2007, has finalized its two-year-long EdTech overhaul with a bespoke online platform, Ohana. The program unites various software systems under one sign-on application for students, tutors, and the staff to enable free access to course content, submitting of their assignments, feedback, and communication with the tutor.
Currently, its claims of having over 140,000 learners and record-breaking intake in September are signs of the effectiveness of its EdTech investment. Ohana was formed by involving the input of students, tutors, and staff, thus making it operational and adhering to the standards of awarding bodies. Reform of the e-commerce site and CRM integration was another part of the transformation to promote effective functioning and interaction with learners.
Samantha Rutter-Bryant, the CEO, noted that the overhaul positions the college for future digital growth. She stated, "The foundation of our operational growth and the enhancement of the student learning process is essential to our success." We are investing in our next growth path; we are investing in our technology infrastructure and our team to ensure that we have a sustainable growth path even when the sector suffers effects of economies."
Open Study College of post-secondary education has a wider scope of changes targeted at the EdTech area to improve the learning outcomes and deliver an online process of study with high quality. The college wants to remain ahead in the EdTech arena by introducing the use of technology, streamlining operations, and enhancing means of assisting learners to keep increasing access to distance learning opportunities.
