Uzbekistan is stepping up global environmental collaboration through important meetings aimed at addressing pressing environmental issues, interacting with ambassadors to promote joint action.
In the latest dialogues on diplomacy, Abdukhakimov stressed fruitful programs and possibilities for alliance in the future. The Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute's (KEITI) solid waste management project success was celebrated in meetings with Korea's Ambassador, Won Do Yong. Partnerships with Sejin G&E Co. Ltd were also brought up by the minister to examine alternative energy derived from landfill gas.
From the discussions with Morocco’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, Muhammad Adil Embarsh, tourism cooperation and environmental conservation were discussed with a view of signing memorandum of understanding prior to the COP29 of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
In addition, Uzbekistan and Georgia have also agreed to cooperate in the sphere of environmental legislation and the creation of ecotourism, for which Georgia will help make training available at the Samarkand-based Central Asian University of Environmental and Climate Change Studies.
During the farewell meeting with Egypt’s outgoing Ambassador, Amira Fahmy, Uzbekistan stressed such major environmental changes and appreciated further cooperation with Egypt.
These diplomatic measures indicate that Uzbekistan needs to increase cooperation in combating the climate and the use of measures supporting environmental initiatives and thus, this is state is considered as one of the leaders in terms of the world environment.
