Cognizant secures a five-year contract to operate and modernize core technology business practices of ERIKS in Europe.
Cognizant, one of the biggest professional services companies in the world, has agreed on a five-year strategic partnership with ERIKS, one of the major providers of industrial components in the world, to spearhead and modernize its core business. According to the agreement, Cognizant will manage ERIKS's operational IT services with assistance in long-term technology transformation efforts.
The alliance will enhance the efficiency of operations, enhance the digital capabilities, and help ERIKS concentrate on high-value strategic priorities. Outsourcing major IT services, ERIKS will speed up the development of innovation and expand its business in Europe and other overseas markets.
The IT Director of ERIKS, Iman Koster, explained that the partnership enables the company to receive more technical know-how and address changing business needs better. The contract also favors the implementation of new technologies such as GenAI using the global delivery and innovation potential of Cognizant.
Cognizant reported that the renewed involvement is based on a relationship yielded in 2017. The increased scope is an indication of the trust that ERIKS puts in Cognizant to provide credible and future-extensive IT services, said Saket Gulati, the Senior Vice President and Head of Northern Europe at Cognizant.
The multi-year agreement makes Cognizant an expansion of the internal IT operation of ERIKS, as it strengthens its presence in handling the complexities of IT services, in addition to promoting its capacity to achieve long-term digital advancement.
