Samsung Expands Galaxy AI with New Multi-Agent System to Redefine Smart Device Experiences

Tech giant strengthens its AI ecosystem by integrating Perplexity, giving users greater flexibility and smarter everyday assistance.

Samsung Electronics is taking a major step forward in its artificial intelligence journey by expanding Galaxy AI into a broader multi-agent ecosystem. The company announced that upcoming flagship Galaxy devices will feature an additional AI agent, Perplexity, aimed at making everyday digital interactions smoother and more intuitive.

As AI becomes a routine part of daily life, many users now rely on multiple AI tools for different tasks. Recognizing this shift, Samsung is building a more open and flexible system that allows various AI agents to work together seamlessly within its devices.

Unlike traditional AI tools that function inside individual apps, Galaxy AI operates at the system level. This means it understands context across the device, reducing the need to switch between apps or repeat instructions. With the addition of Perplexity, users will be able to activate the assistant simply by saying “Hey Plex” or by holding the side button. The AI will integrate with Samsung apps such as Notes, Calendar, Gallery and Reminder, along with selected third-party apps, enabling smoother multitasking.

Won-Joon Choi, President and COO of Samsung’s Mobile eXperience Business, emphasized the company’s vision. “Galaxy AI acts as an orchestrator, bringing together different forms of AI into a single, natural, cohesive experience,” he said.

By expanding its AI partnerships and strengthening integration across devices, Samsung is positioning Galaxy AI as a smarter, more user-friendly IT ecosystem designed to simplify complex digital tasks for everyday users.
