According to him, Nikhil Kamath believes that the men's grooming space will see explosive growth because of social media, changing gender norms, and growing consciousness about looks and validation.

On that note, co-founder of Zerodha Nikhil Kamath has recently shared some opinions on the rising men-breeding market, which is the consequence of social media, natural evolution of gender roles, and a rise in pursuit of validation. Taking to LinkedIn on December 12, Kamath tagged brands such as Ustra, Nykaa Man, and Bombay Shaving Company, blaming them for provoking the surge in the men's lifestyle & fashion sector.

According to Kamath, social media plays a very important role in men's grooming as they start looking towards their appearance for their identities. The global men's grooming market was valued at $202 billion in 2022 and is expected to grow at an 8% annual growth rate until the year 2030. In India, the market was approximately $13 billion in the year 2022, projected to reach $25 billion by the year 2030. Additionally, 56% of young men now follow daily skincare regimens.

In his post, he cheekily remarked that the men's lifestyle & fashion market could quite easily pick up some of the more comical traits of women - beauty, for example. According to him, it is an emerging trend in modern masculinity where a change is seen to prioritize self-care; thus, grooming will become another big thing, probably followed by the next surge in men's jewelry.

Such a prediction is bolstered by research indicating that 45% of Gen Z men are influenced by social media and influencers when it comes to grooming. The men's grooming market will be a big fixture in the lifestyle & fashion industry as men pay more attention to their skincare and look.
