Celebrated Indian fashion designer Rohit Bal have passed away and was one of the most influential lifestyle and fashion designer, who used his innovative and timeless designs to leaving his mark.
Regrettably, famous fashion designer Rohit Bal, of India, died at 63 from advanced heart issues at Aashlok Hospital in Delhi. Just a day after Deepawali, his untimely demise has set the lifestyle and fashion fraternity reeling in shudder and abuzz at the same time.
Bal was a Kashmiri who introduced such a new trend of Indian apparel by combining conventional wear with a little whimsy, which was the hallmark of his creations. He made a colossal contribution to the development of lifestyle and fashion he left a ripple effect amongst many designers and fashion lovers.
The exact reason for Bal's death remains a mystery — the year before he almost fell unconscious and collapsed. He also had feuds with friend Lalit Tehlan, who designer Rohit Gandhi said Lalit tried to poison him. Gandhi believes Tehlan worsened Bal's health and threatened him when Gandhi spoke out about it, causing media attention and controversies.
Moreover, Jullie Deb, a marketing professional and close friend of Bal, echoed these sentiments, saying that Tehlan cut Bal off from everyone, and tended him inappropriately. Despite this however, Bal in a said interview came to Tehlan’s defense stating that he was a good person who helped him during important periods.
The Approach of Rohit Bal is definitely felt by the Lifestyle and fashion Industry. And only a month ago, he had a successful comeback in the shows with his new collection Kaayanaat at Lakme Fashion Week which proves that his presence was still powerful in the fashion scene.
