Campaigns featuring celebrities promote Phuket and Phang Nga as exclusive places for the high-end travelers in the region.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Singapore Office has collaborated with Mediacorp to highlight southern Thailand as part of an influencer campaign to be curated in efforts to reinforce luxury travel and tourism demand. In the effort, comedians Ayden Sng and Carrie Wong of Singapore were part of a media familiarization visit in Phuket and Phang Nga between January 14 and 17.
The itinerary was created to feature the best services available in Thailand, making it a major destination of luxury travel and tourism in the Southeast Asian region. Activities took place in the form of a sunset yacht dinner, spa and wellness experiences, rooftop fine dining, a stay at the Iniala Beach House, which is an exclusive resort, and a trip to the scenic Samet Nangshe Viewpoint. There was also the Thailand Boat Festival at Phuket Boat Lagoon, where the celebrities attended, highlighting the fact that the region is increasingly becoming popular in marine and yacht tourism.
Both the celebrities posted live among their audiences of more than half a million followers, and this created a good interaction on the platforms. Instagram Reels that feature the trip will be unveiled as early as January 23, which will expand the online presence of the campaign among the Singaporean luxury travelers.
TAT believes that the partnership will make online visibility a reality in physical travel interest, which will further position Thailand as a luxury travel destination and tourism company with the support of experiential storytelling, luxury hospitality, and targeted influencer marketing.
