Beyoncé vinyl and CDs missing tracks

Beyoncé's fans have voiced their displeasure after receiving vinyl and CD versions of her album Cowboy Carter that allegedly lacked tunes from the digital release.

Beyoncé's fans have voiced their displeasure after receiving vinyl and CD versions of her album Cowboy Carter that allegedly lacked tunes from the digital release.

Pre-orders for physical copies of Beyoncé's eighth studio album, which is the second of a trilogy she had planned that started with her 2022 album Renaissance, started to roll in on Friday. Customers started complaining over the weekend that five tracks — Flamenco, Oh Louisiana, The Linda Martell Show, Spaghetti, and the centerpiece Ya Ya — which The Guardian called a wonderful early psychedelic soul-influenced stomp — that were available on the digital version of the country album were absent from the vinyl pressing.

With the exception of Flamenco, the same tunes were purportedly absent from the CD. Whether this applied to all pressings was unclear. A Sunday announcement post on Beyoncé's official online store's Instagram page drew a barrage of irate comments, urging her to clear up any misunderstandings. Discounts or refunds on the US$40 vinyl edition were demanded by many. Beyoncé's album received a response to complaints from fans, with an automatic response in three to four days. Rumors suggest she added songs and changed the album later. The vinyl version, expected to have a 10 weeks to six months lead time, is believed to contain an older version.
