Comedian Taylor Tomlinson is set to take over from James Corden’s late-night talk show, becoming the youngest and the only current female late-night host on any network.

Comedian Taylor Tomlinson is set to take over a new late-night program. She will replace James Corden, who is leaving the US, and will be the only female late-night host. Next year, her show ‘After Midnight’ will debut on CBS, after ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’.

Stephen Colbert revealed Taylor Tomlinson's new position as a late-night host during an episode of The Late Show. He began by reading a press release from CBS, pointing out that although the network's announcement of a new late-night show was exciting, they still needed a host.

He pleaded with the crowd to inform him if they knew of anyone who might be interested in taking the gig. Tomlinson, who was watching the conversation from the audience, then interrupted Stephen and offered to take the position. With a "focus group it," Stephen urged that they ask the audience if this is a good idea. The audience applauded loudly.

Jimmy Fallon of NBC, Seth Meyers of ABC, and Jimmy Kimmel of NBC are just a few of the late-night hosts that Tomlinson will be joining. She is set to become the youngest late-night host by more than two decades at the age of just 29.

Comedy Central's ‘@midnight With Chris Hardwick’, which ran from 2013 to 2017 and included a panel of comedians, is the model that After Midnight is expected to emulate.
