Microsoft introduces Copilot Pro

Microsoft is launching Copilot Pro, a $20 subscription service that replaces the enterprise and free versions of the company's AI assistance suite.

Microsoft is introducing Copilot Pro, a $20 subscription service that fills the void left by free and enterprise versions of the company's AI help suite. Many capabilities that were previously exclusive to business clients will now be available to users of the new service, including native integration with Office programs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Access to "Copilot GPT Builder," an interface that lets users create and activate custom chatbot personas, will also be available to Copilot Pro users. On January 12, Microsoft released a video on YouTube to announce the release of Copilot Pro.

Journalists on social media have shown that information about the Copilot Pro launch was withheld until 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time on January 15.

Prior to publishing of the announcement article, Cointelegraph was not provided with any embargoed information; nevertheless, the product specifics are available in the official Microsoft YouTube video, and the subscription costs have been verified.

The new subscription service, Copilot Azure, is now available for trial and Copilot for Microsoft 365, a $30 per user subscription for organizations using the same software.

OpenAI has introduced new subscription services for its ChatGPT service, including ChatGPT Pro and ChatGPT Team, which were launched in January 2023.
