Justin Baldoni’s Legal Battle Thriving As Public Relations Crisis Escalates

Jonesworks file lawsuit against Jennifer Abel after she leaves them, accusing her of defamation and bullying, as well as Justin Baldoni, his production company and Blake Lively.

Quite a PR trouble Justin Baldoni finds himself in as his former publicist Jennifer Abel is now being sued for defamation and breach of contract. Abel, an ex-Jonesworker at the agency, left the firm citing "bullying" within the organization, which has now turned to a suit against Baldoni's crisis management team and production house, Wayfarer Studios, as well.

Abel, who has recently set up her very own RWA Communications, a public relations agency, is at this moment also having to deal with a defamation case on account of the allegations that at the time of her separation she left carrying confidential documents. The imbroglio is in the wake of the suit filed by Blake Lively against Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment and a smear campaign.

It is significant for Baldoni because, as public relations experts say, this will be a tough fight for him, with his reputation hanging so precariously at the moment given all those charges against him.
