The new recycling and waste management rules introduced by SB 54 in California are leading to arguments about exemption and the law’s aim to cut down on plastic.
The latest reshuffle in the Odisha government brought several senior officials to important positions, among them the public relations department. The Director of Information and Public Relations has been appointed as Anuj Kumar Das Pattanaik, who was State Nodal Officer for PM Poshan and MM Poshan. The decision points to the government making public relations and reaching out crucial priorities.
Surendra Kumar Panda, who currently works as Special Secretary in the Health & Family Welfare Department, has been appointed the State Nodal Officer for PM Poshan and MM Poshan in place of Pattanaik. The state continues to try and simplify leadership in important welfare programs and public outreach.
As part of other moves, Mitali Patra, who was Tahasildar of Tangi in Khordha, has been given the additional assignment as Administrative Officer in the office of the CDM & PHO, Baripada, Mayurbhanj.
As a result, Ajaya Kumar Pradhan will stay on in his post as PA, ITDA, Gunupur following the cancellation of his assignment to Rayagada.
Expectedly, the new change in public relations leadership will boost the government’s openness and how it works with the media. Building strong public relations continues to be a main focus for the state to help manage communication and knowledge among citizens.
