The deal brings together editorial expertise and data-driven storytelling to expand SourceCode’s public relations capabilities.
SourceCode Communications, a New York–based technology-focused public relations agency, has acquired strategic communications firm Rally Point Public Relations in a move aimed at deepening its expertise in fintech and media strategy. The acquisition, which closed on February 1, brings Rally Point’s editorial strength into SourceCode’s growing integrated communications platform.
Founded in 2014 by former broadcast journalists John Cook and Dorian Langlais, Rally Point has built a strong reputation for executive visibility, thought leadership, and earned media strategy. Its client base spans fintech, artificial intelligence, software, venture capital, and other emerging technology sectors, areas that closely align with SourceCode’s existing focus.
Following the acquisition, Rally Point will operate under the SourceCode brand. John Cook, Rally Point’s cofounder and managing partner, will take on a new role as Executive Vice President of Fintech and Media Strategy. In this position, he will lead media strategy and fintech communications for clients including Chase, Quantexa, and McAfee. Langlais, meanwhile, will depart the agency to launch an independent consultancy centered on diversity and cultural issues.
“We shared not only philosophical aspirations, but also a similar culture and level of ambition,” said Becky Honeyman, Co-Founder of SourceCode, highlighting the natural fit between the two firms.
Rally Point’s five-member team will join SourceCode immediately, integrating client portfolios with no conflicts reported. The acquisition also supports SourceCode’s broader three-year growth strategy, which includes expanding into new regions, sectors, and services.
