Puma engages Ronald Reijmers to serve as its Vice President of Global Retail to boost its global retail strategy and operations.
Puma, a global sportswear brand, has hired Ronald Reijmans as Vice President of Global Retail, who will assume the same role on November 1 in order to spearhead the growth of their full-price and outlet store system around the world. Reijmers will be reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer Matthias Baumer.
Reijmers has almost 30 years of experience in retail strategy and management at some of the largest brands in the industry, including Nike, adidas, and Gymshark, which adds extensive industry experience to bolster the worldwide retail performance of Puma. His hiring fits into the company reorganization in which the Global Retail and Global E-Commerce divisions are separated so that the company could focus on them more and grow faster.
Erik Janshen, the outgoing executive who has been in charge of the two divisions, will be exiting PUMA to go out and seek new opportunities. Baumer has commended Reijmers as a very experienced leader who will create momentum in our international retail channel.
According to the company, it will soon declare the new head of global e-commerce, as this is an additional step to streamline its retail and digital channels to be profitable over the long term and to engage with customers.
