LingSheng Secures Major Funding to Advance Robotics

LingSheng Technology is lauded with high new investments to expand robotics innovation. The investment increases development and adoption of humanoid robots in industries.

Embodied intelligence firm LingSheng Technology, which comes with Tsinghua affiliation, has shut its Pre-A and Pre-A+ financing sources and amassed a 100 million yuan round to fast track progress in robotics. The move by a listed company under the patronage of industrial organizations and financial institutions to invest heavily is a good sign of confidence in the expanding robotics industry in China.

LingSheng, established in February 2023, focuses on creating a platform that enables humans to design robots that resemble and behave like people, thereby building an intelligent system. Two fundamental technologies, LingSheng Data Platform (LDP) data governance in a real-world scenario and LingSheng World Model (LWM) improvement of perception and decision-making and adaptability in the workshop, drive its robotics innovation.

The investment will help the company produce L-series humanoid robots on a large scale, improve LDP and LWM, and expand the use of its technology in various industries. Already LingSheng has implemented robotics solutions in the fields of smart manufacturing, unmanned retail, and healthcare and attracted the attention of major international manufacturers and large enterprises owned by the state.

In its bid to be successful in its tech-oriented productivity, the founder, Yang Hongbing, underlined that this achievement should be attained through the combination of a high level of innovation and the possibility of commercializing its solutions in the real world.

The recent investment is an indication of the growing need for embodied intelligence and next-generation robotics as China quickens the pace of automation and smart manufacturing.
