DeLaval Cloud Transformation Journey with SAP S/4HANA

Global Dairy and Farming Machinery Producer Embraces Cloud Solutions to Drive Innovation and Efficiency.

In a strategic move to enhance its technological foundation and bolster its commitment to customer-centric solutions, DeLaval, a leading global producer of dairy and farming machinery, has announced its selection of SAP S/4HANA Cloud. With 18 factories spanning the globe, DeLaval's decision to transition to the cloud aims to standardize its systems, streamline processes, and leverage data to drive innovation.

Niklas Falkeling, DeLaval's IT program manager, emphasized the significance of this transition, stating, "A completely new ERP system from scratch is more than just a technical upgrade, it’s a change process and a transformation of our entire business." By embracing SAP's cloud services, DeLaval aims to enhance flexibility and agility, essential elements for remaining competitive in today's rapidly evolving market landscape.

The implementation of SAP S/4HANA Cloud marks a pivotal step in DeLaval's journey towards becoming a data-driven organization. With a focus on sustainability and efficiency in food production, this global, multi-year program will not only attract top talent but also drive process improvements and foster innovation through the adoption of cutting-edge technology.

Key milestones include strengthening DeLaval's team with SAP competency centers in strategic locations such as Tumba, Sweden; Gallin, Germany; and Wroclaw, Poland. Helle Dochedahl, SAP Nordic and Baltic managing director, praised DeLaval's approach, describing it as "a textbook example of how to run a global transformation program." By standardizing business solutions and unifying internal processes, DeLaval is poised to accelerate its growth strategy and solidify its position as an industry leader.
