RCB Venue Uncertainty Raises IPL Concerns

The instability regarding venue allocation poses some doubts to investors regarding professional sports leagues with respect to long-term valuation.

The same is happening to the Rajasthan Royals, who are evaluating alternative venues to play as their home, including Pune and Guwahati, because of the long friction with the state governments. These frequent controversies have triggered the intervention of the Board of Control of Cricket in India, considering the fact that long-term political quarrels may bring down Brand IPL. Devoid of structural resolutions, Indian sports can still struggle with the falling stakeholder confidence and fan discontent.
