New agrotech-driven program brings smarter financing and greener practices to Brazil’s farms
In a major step toward sustainable agriculture, Agri3 Fund and Rabobank have jointly launched Renova Pasto 2.0, an expanded program aimed at transforming farming practices in Brazil.
Originally introduced in 2023 for livestock farmers, the initiative now includes soy and other annual crop producers, especially in ecologically sensitive regions like the Cerrado and the Amazon. The move reflects a growing shift toward agrotech solutions that balance productivity with environmental responsibility.
The program offers long-term, flexible financing of up to $5 million per project, with repayment periods stretching up to ten years and a three-year grace period. Alongside funding, farmers receive technical support to restore degraded land, improve yields, and adopt more sustainable practices.
Independent consultancy Produzindo Certo plays a key role in monitoring progress. It evaluates everything from crop productivity to forest preservation and even improvements in rural living conditions, ensuring transparency and accountability.
As highlighted by CIO Bulletin, Renova Pasto 2.0 showcases how technology, finance, and environmental goals can come together to reshape modern agriculture. By combining data-driven monitoring with practical support, the program sets a new benchmark for sustainable farming in one of the world’s most critical ecosystems.
