The Big Blur theme will celebrate talent at the 2024 MAMA Awards with top K-pop performers appearing to play in Los Angeles and Osaka. New categories are added and there’s fan voting.

The anticipation is intensifying especially after the announcement of the first wave of performers for the upcoming 2024 MAMA Awards. This year, the MAMA awards ceremony which will be held from November 21st to 23rd, at Dolby Theatre Hollywood in Los Angeles and Kyocera Dome, Osaka Japan.

Starting from November 21, the performers include KATSEYE, ILLIT, RIIZE, J.Y. Park, and TWS. Then the ceremony will head to Osaka again where ENHYPEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, IVE, ME:I and TREASURE will perform in that order on November 22 with Aespa, INI, ZEROBASEONE, LEE Young Ji and MEOVV closing off the show on the last day.

Hosted by Visa, the of this year revises its subtitle to “Big Blur: What Is Real?” in order to depict edges that have fuzzed between industries cultures categories of music and technology. The event is set to bring about phenomena that are impossible but real and promises eye-popping performance art that is a marriage of technology.

In addition to the performances CJ ENM also shared nominees with a period of eligibility of the works from October 1 2023 to September 30 2024. This year, the best choreography award has also been created and Visa Fans’ Choice awards are back by popular demand. Voting will take place in two sequences the first one being October 14 to 25 and the second one commencing on November 1.

Fans will be able to cast their votes on X and Mnet Plus K-pop platform that has the nominee shortlist and with the new details emerging, the 2024 MAMA Awards is bound to be a grand fiesta for K-pop lovers.
