Pop icon Madonna, becomes one of the first to adopt text-to-video tools for her concert tour. Her live performance features giant arena displays with moving pictures of whirling, sunset-colored clouds.
Giant arena displays behind Madonna shows moving pictures of whirling, sunset-colored clouds whenever she performs the 1980s classic song "La Isla Bonita" live.
The pop icon used the text-to-video tool, a relatively new area of generative artificial intelligence, to achieve that dreamy appearance. A video is created instantly when you type some words, such as "waterfall in the jungle at dawn" or "surreal cloud sunset."
Similar to AI chatbots and still image generators, some fans of AI video technology believe that the technology may eventually change entertainment by letting people select their own film with editable plots and conclusions. However, they still have a long way to go and many moral hazards to avoid before they can accomplish it.
It was more of an experiment for early adopters like Madonna, who has long pushed the frontiers of art.
The firm that makes ChatGPT, OpenAI, recently unveiled Sora, a new tool that isn't available to the general public as yet. With this release, the business presented a preview of what advanced text-to-video technology would look like. The Madonna team experimented with a different solution from Runway, a New York-based business that helped pioneer the technology last March when it released its first text-to-video model to the public. In June, the business unveiled a more sophisticated "Gen-2" version.
