Capitalizing on ChatGPT’s success, OpenAI announced the launch of ChatGPT Enterprise, a business-focused edition of the company’s AI-powered chatbot app.
ChatGPT Enterprise, which OpenAI initially hinted at in a blog post earlier this year, is capable of performing the same activities as ChatGPT, such as sending emails, drafting essays, and debugging computer code. On top of the vanilla ChatGPT, the new service offers "enterprise-grade" privacy and data analysis capabilities, as well as improved performance and customization possibilities.
That puts ChatGPT Enterprise on par with Bing Chat Enterprise, Microsoft's recently released attempt at an enterprise-oriented chatbot service, in terms of features.
In a blog post, OpenAI stated that today marked another step toward an AI assistant for work that assists with any activity, secures company data, and is personalized for the enterprise. OpenAI further mentioned in the blog post that organizations interested in ChatGPT Enterprise could contact the company. While the business did not disclose pricing, OpenAI did state that it would be contingent on each organization's usage and use cases.
ChatGPT Enterprise includes a new admin portal with capabilities for managing how employees use ChatGPT within an organization, such as single sign-on, domain verification, and a dashboard with usage statistics. Shareable conversation templates enable staff to construct internal workflows using ChatGPT, while credits to OpenAI's API platform enable businesses to create fully customized ChatGPT-powered solutions if desired.
Additionally, ChatGPT Enterprise offers unlimited access to Advanced Data Analysis, a ChatGPT feature that was formerly known as Code Interpreter and enables ChatGPT to analyze data, produce charts, solve mathematical equations, and more—including from uploaded files.
