Virtual reality is now being used as a workplace training program

A VR firm has built a team building exercise for the workplace. It involves employees working together in order to escape a stimulated planet.

Millions of employees began working remotely and participating in video conferences as a result of pandemic lockdowns, and training is now changing as well.

A company that specializes in Virtual Reality-related training programs called Jenson8 in the UK built a VR team building exercise called Apollo, which transports you to Mars in a robot avatar.

The training program is in a computer-stimulated environment, with other robots walking around a stimulated planet of Mars. The mission essentially requires each team member to work together in order to make it through various challenges and manage to escape Mars in a space pod. The mission requires a lot of teamwork since it is only successful if all the robots manage to escape.

The company has made it very clear that this VR is specifically a training session where all employees wear a VR headset and not a video game.

Each employee gets four attempts to figure out a way to escape within the stimulation, experiencing Apollo from multiple perspectives that include roles like leaders, standard robots, or even an observer.

Once the VR headgear is taken off, the team is then given time to discuss the experience from different perspectives and dynamics and figure out what helped and what did not.

VR stimulation is a much more interesting way of building teams when compared to sitting in a conference room and listening to one person talk. However, the VR training program has received some backlash, stating that some users find wearing the VR goggles uncomfortable, making the experience inconvenient due to making some individuals feel sick.
