Valmet provides an early automation kick-starter in Bangladesh which has advanced the production quality, efficiency and sustainability of Papertech Industries through complex control systems.
Papertech Industries Co., Ltd. has placed the first order with Valmet to provide a complete automation package in its Bangladesh production facility. The launch, which takes place in the fourth quarter of 2025, will focus on improving the quality and decreasing the variability of the production and also improving the efficiency of its operations.
The product in the deal is the first Distributed Control System (DCS) in Bangladesh with the modern DNAe User Interface of Valmet. These newer automation systems can have intuitive processes, and operators can control bigger area processes and be more reliable.
The investment is big; Papertech Industries believes that it is a significant move in becoming a leader in the sustainable production of paper in the region. According to Amer Yusuf, Managing Director, Papertech Industries, our world-class standards will be achieved by partnering with Valmet to ensure that we get access to the best automation technology as well as quality systems.
Automation delivery by Valmet will also include a quality control system, cross-directional and machine controls, and retention measurement systems. The tools are set to help optimize the use of raw materials, enhance process stability, and achieve the long-term sustainability objective.
Coupled with their philosophy of a smart, resource-efficient production, Papertech Industries integrated the automation solutions of Valmet, as argued by the CEO of this unique industry, Saad Ahmed Suman, and kept the director of this company. The representatives of Valmet also stated their readiness to assist Papertech in its desire to attain the best quality and cost-effective production.
