Northway Aviation acquires Skynorth Air to expand Manitoba's air ambulance services through a 17-aircraft fleet backed by operational improvements.
Northway Aviation (NAL) confirmed its purchase of air ambulance leader Skynorth Air which operates within Manitoba. Westcap Mgt. Ltd. processed the acquisition of Skynorth Air on behalf of Northway’s controlling entity through revenue generated by managed investment funds. The joint acquisition of Northway and Skynorth strongholds nine aircraft each to improve aviation services throughout the area.
Skynorth Air maintains three locations at Winnipeg International together with Thompson and Island Lake to deliver vital air ambulance rescues. Operational efficiencies will improve through the joint facilities and resources handled by these closely aligned companies headed by the same strong management team.
The future status of Skynorth as a standalone entity or merged into Northway remains unknown but the agreement will strengthen aviation service delivery for residents of Manitoba. Westcap president Grant J. Kook showed vision regarding the expanding aviation market in Manitoba.
