Lenovo unveils the Legion Go Fold Concept at MWC 2026, blending a foldable display, handheld gaming, and mini-laptop versatility into one futuristic device.
Lenovo unveiled its Legion Go Fold Concept – a device with a foldable display on a handheld gaming device at the 2026 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The device promises to offer the convenience of doubling up a mini laptop with an 11.6 inch POLED display, detachable Joy-Con type controllers, and a folio case. The device transforms into a 7.7-inch handheld console when folded, thus ensuring users can game on the go. This aligns with its existing product portfolio within the Legion Go range.
Lenovo positions the device as a ‘vertical gaming machine’, with the controllers that can be repositioned to all four sides. Moreover, the Legion Go Fold’s unique form factor allows users to connect a wireless keyboard to the device for completing office assignments easily. Under the hood, the device is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor and 32 GB of RAM. It has a 48-watt-hour battery, and the right controller can be used as a mouse to interact with the screen.
We can expect the product to be on sale sometime in the future, as Lenovo is known to convert several of its concepts into finished products. Before the device is shipped, Lenovo must address concerns surrounding the device’s battery life when used in the expanded mode. Furthermore, it must adequately address durability concerns surrounding the build quality of the controllers and the outward folding display, which leaves the screen exposed when closed. Lenovo also needs to position its product at a price point that is reasonable and within reach of the average consumer, given that its existing Legion Go 2 costs north of $1000. Despite its current limitations, the Lenovo Legion Go Fold is a futuristic device that one hopes will see the light of day.
