Splash Beverage Group Backs Avicanna

The investment has the potential to drive the healthcare industry's change.

Today, Splash Beverage Group, Inc. announced the conclusion of a CDN$300,000 strategic investment in Avicanna Inc., a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical firm based on cannabinoids that focuses on patient care, clinical research, and product development.

According to Splash, Avicanna is one of the most cutting-edge marijuana healthcare platforms available, and it is in a unique position to profit from the expanding medical cannabinoid market in the US.

Brady Cobb, interim Chief Executive Officer of Splash Beverage Group said,

“Avicanna has spent years building many of the capabilities we believe will define the future of cannabinoid medicine.”

The vertically integrated operating model of Avicanna is another element of the investment thesis. Through operations in Colombia, the business retains pharmaceutical-grade marijuana manufacturing capabilities and active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacture, providing it control over crucial parts of its supply chain.

Splash has included a warning for investors: if the investment in Avicanna does not yield the expected benefits or if regulatory developments in the cannabinoid and wellness industries take a negative turn, actual results may differ significantly from initial expectations. It is recommended that shareholders keep an eye on corporate filings and regulatory updates for any new changes.

Splash Beverage Group's faith in the potential of cannabinoid-based medicine is demonstrated by its investment in Avicanna. The collaboration intends to boost the company's standing in the changing healthcare industry and hasten the adoption of evidence-based cannabinoid medications by supporting Avicanna's cutting-edge platform and developing medical cannabis capabilities, CIO Bulletin reports.
