Tata Power and Salesforce Collaborates to Accelerate India’s Clean Energy Future

The strategic collaboration will digitally power rooftop solar, EV charging, and smart energy solutions, supporting India’s journey toward a greener and smarter energy ecosystem.

In a major step toward strengthening India’s clean energy transition, Tata Power has announced a strategic collaboration with Salesforce to digitally transform its fast-growing renewable energy businesses. The partnership focuses on enhancing Tata Power’s rooftop solar, electric vehicle (EV) charging, and smart home energy solutions through advanced digital technologies.

The initiative will help build a connected and intelligent clean energy ecosystem powered by artificial intelligence, automation, and data-driven insights. By using Salesforce’s digital platform, Tata Power aims to simplify customer and partner interactions while improving operational efficiency across its renewable energy operations.

As part of the transformation, the technology platform has been introduced across Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, enabling smarter workflows and better visibility across business operations. The platform helps manage customer inquiries, partner collaborations, and service requests through a seamless digital system, making the entire process faster and more transparent.

The collaboration also supports the rapid growth of rooftop solar installations in India. Driven by government initiatives such as Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana, Tata Power’s residential solar business has grown by more than 200 percent over the past two years. During the same period, the company’s overall solar portfolio revenue has increased five times, reflecting rising demand for clean energy solutions.

Through this partnership, both companies aim to accelerate innovation and help India move faster toward a sustainable and technology-driven energy future.
