The environmental sustainability initiatives of Korean Air and Delta Air Lines came together when they organized a cleanup event at Santa Monica beach.

The second annual environmental sustainability event brought together Korean Air and Delta Air Lines to organize a beach cleanup at Santa Monica Pier on April 24. Through their partnership with Heal the Bay an employee team from both airlines gathered hundreds of pounds of trash which demonstrated their dedication toward community engagement and coastlines cleanliness.

The "Suits on the Sand" event provided participants with ethical learning about environmental sustainability and marine pollution education combined with a team building challenge and subsequent beach cleanup activities. The group participated in an educational session about plastic waste effects and critical importance of coastal preservation.

This environmental initiative belongs to the Korean Air-Delta Joint Venture's continuous efforts to promote sustainability which extends from tree planting in Mongolia and river cleanups in Seoul. The travel industry now uses this partnership as an example standard for corporate responsibility in its sector.

The joint initiative received positive feedback from K.H. Lee of Korean Air and Rob LeBel of Delta who saw the collaboration as an outstanding demonstration of sustainable practices for global brands. The airlines declared their future dedication to developing enduring ecological initiatives while continuing their present eco-friendly programs.
