Sterling stabilizes around recent highs as thin holiday trade signals nervous banking and finance sentiment.
Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty has appointed Vikash Kumar as the new Assistant Director of Food and Beverages, a move that has supported its strategy of aiming for the improvement of food and beverage operations in the entire property. The relocation shows the desire by the hotel to maintain the quality and better experiences for guests in a competitive hospitality industry.
Having over 10 years of experience in the industry, Kumar will be in charge of food and beverage end-to-end operations that include restaurant activities, banquets and big events. His mandate includes facilitating operational efficiency, perpetuating service, and reinforcing the approach of engaging guests on diverse food lines at the hotel.
Kumar started his hospitality work with Marriott International properties in Hyderabad in 2014, where he acquired the practical experience of food and beverage service and banquet management, as well as high-volume work. In 2022, he became an Events Planning Manager at Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty, which is part of the Hyatt portfolio, where he majorly oversees the execution of complex events and maximizes performance in event banquets.
The hiring further highlights the interest of the hotel in developing talent internally and succession in leadership. The re-entry of Kumar into the property, after amassing more exposure at Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield, is very much in line with the people development outlook in the long-term strategy at Hyatt.
As a leader who identifies with the team approach, Kumar will be able to introduce innovation and regularity to food and drinks, which will further establish Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty as one of the leading luxury hotels in Kerala.
