Samsung to introduce its Galaxy AI features to its budget-friendly Galaxy A series smartphones.
Samsung is set to revolutionize its mid-range smartphone lineup by integrating its powerful Galaxy AI features, previously exclusive to high-end models, into the Galaxy A35 and A55. Initially launched with the flagship Galaxy S24 series, these AI capabilities have gradually been rolled out to other premium devices, including the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Z Fold/Flip5. Now, for the first time, these advanced features will be accessible on Samsung’s popular mid-tier Galaxy A series.
According to a report by SamMobile, the upcoming One UI 6.1.1 update will be the vehicle for this significant upgrade. The Galaxy A35, priced at an attractive Rs 23,775 on Amazon, will become the most affordable smartphone to boast Galaxy AI technology. This development represents a major shift in the market, as advanced AI, once reserved for the elite, is now within reach of the average consumer.
Samsung’s Galaxy AI operates through a hybrid system where basic AI tasks are processed locally on the device, while more complex operations leverage cloud-based assistance for faster and more efficient execution. This sophisticated technology will empower Galaxy A35 and A55 users with a more personalized and intelligent smartphone experience, albeit with some limitations compared to the full suite of features available on flagship models.
Additionally, the update will include an enhanced version of Samsung’s virtual assistant, Bixby, further enriching the AI experience for users. However, it’s important to note that not all Galaxy AI features will be available on these mid-range devices, and there’s currently no word on whether older Galaxy A series models like the A54 and A34 will receive this update.
