MyMatR’s AI-based waste basket offers fun, challenge, incentives, positive reinforcement, precision, selectivity in recycling and knowledge, thus turning waste collection into a fun, educational process.
MyMatR, a tech startup, has introduced an AI interactive trash can, which integrates features of recycling, waste sorting, and a game. The new MyMatR Duo prompts the user to sort trash properly by offering two different compartments for recyclable and non-recyclable waste.
This makes it motivational to achieve positive changes by providing reactions to people’s choices, making them make better decisions, and enhance the users’ understanding of sustainable practices. It also provides the system data in real-time concerning the collected materials, potential savings, and emission reductions.
Founder John Starke stressed that utilizing technology to enhance interaction is effective because gamification brings fun and delight to sustainability initiatives. The point system that uses QR code helps the users to change their behavior as they are incentivized with coupons from local businesses.
MyMatR, which works with clients such as city councils and universities, has turned waste management into a playful, personalized process that seeks to rectify the current state of affairs.
