Highly Anticipated Title to Deliver Unparalleled Entertainment Experience
Take-Two Interactive has officially announced that the much-anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) is set for release in Fall 2025. The confirmation came during the company’s FY 2024 earnings call on Thursday, bringing an end to months of speculation and rumors.
“Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI,” the company stated. They expressed strong confidence in Rockstar Games’ ability to deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, with expectations for the game’s commercial impact continuing to rise.
This announcement aligns with previous reports and rumors about the game’s release status. Despite whispers of a potential delay into 2026, insider sources maintained that the game’s development was “on schedule.” Any speculation about a delay beyond 2025 was dismissed as “pure conjecture.”
Further bolstering the release date confirmation, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told IGN that both Take-Two and Rockstar Games are “highly confident” in delivering GTA 6 by Fall 2025.
The idea of an early 2025 release was never on the table. Since the initial trailer release in December, the plan has always been to launch the game towards the holiday season of 2025.
Although Fall 2025 (spanning September to mid-December) is still some time away, Take-Two assured that the game remains on schedule as of March. This period is eagerly awaited by fans who anticipate another groundbreaking addition to the iconic Grand Theft Auto series.
