Google Glitch Omits Biden from US Presidents List

Joe Biden, Glitch, Google, Error

Google suffered through a system error which deleted Joe Biden's presidential status from their search results before technicians restored his name on January 24 at the beginning of the day.

Google search experienced a brief error that removed former President Joe Biden from results when users searched "US Presidents," "United States Presidents" or "US Presidents in order" according to The Independent report. On January 23 users discovered the presidential list displayed Donald Trump as the most recent president yet failed to mention Joe Biden's name. Before Donald Trump took office the presidential list featured Barack Obama and all previous presidents.

Google issued a prompt announcement of the mistake that stemmed from its knowledge graph's "data error." The spokesperson stated that Google fixed the issue at 2 am ET. Online speculation suggested Google intended to remove Biden's presidential status from its databases.

Users on social media platforms described the situation as risky which led others to wonder if tech giants would preserve Trump's historical impact. Google remains fully silent regarding both the genesis and political intent of the technical error.
