IBM introduces Concert to enhance the resilience of DevOps, minimize downtimes, and harmonize pipeline automation among the multi-cloud environments.
IBM is increasing its interest in operational resilience through IBM Concert, a new offering aimed at reducing downtime and ensuring stability in the case of high-demand events such as Black Friday by DevOps teams. The cost of global downtime is more than USD 300,000/hr; automation is becoming smarter and verification strategies are now conducted continuously to ensure that performance and revenue are not at stake.
Relying on modern hybrid and multi-cloud systems has become increasingly challenging. Statistical control is fulfilled in IBM Concert, which combines the field of observability, AI automation, and governance on one control plane. The platform continuously validates releases against resilience goals and prevents failures before they reach customers.
A real example demonstrates its effect: Deutsche Telekom cut the time to patch by 78 percent every time they patched a system once they implemented IBM Concert, indicating that efficiencies were generated through automated patching.
The system also introduces self-healing capabilities through AI-driven mechanisms, enabling infrastructures to anticipate stress points, adapt, and learn to handle disruptions. This highly proactive model overcame the traditional reactive monitoring models and assists the DevOps teams in ensuring performance without overprovisioning resources.
With resiliency being part of the delivery pipeline, IBM empowers the organizations to work with the Black Friday level of preparedness on a daily basis. Concert turns resilience into an inherent capability of operations by verifying systems every minute, automating operations, and intelligently identifying threats.
Digital operations are becoming more intricate and so a business adapting to systems such as IBM Concert will be in a better place to remain dependable, scalable and ready to handle egregious demand spikes.
