GCT and G+D Partner to Launch Advanced eSIM Solution for Multi-Network IoT Devices

The new eSIM integration released by GCT and G+D now supports IPAd and offers easy and secure networking for IoT devices using 4G and 5G.

The companies have agreed to develop a new SGP.32 eSIM solution with IPAd capabilities for 4G and 5G IoT gadgets. The alliance aims to bring innovation to IoT by giving headless devices smart, location tracking SIMs that work in many industries. The combine allows the best performance by matching location, availability, cost and policy needed for important IoT purposes.

GSMA SGP.32 is the newest standard for safe and worldwide eSIM deployments across IoTs. Because the IPAd solution is part of their 4G and 5G chips, users can enjoy automatic out-of-the-box connection without replacing SIMs.

The use of eSIM in IoT gadgets has greatly increased, but many of these devices lack an appropriate interface to maximize its benefits, according to John Schlaefer, CEO of GCT. IPAd fills that gap by providing more flexibility and greater security.

With almost 500 million eSIM downloads since its start, G+D believes that this partnership will play a major role in advancing IoT connectivity. BeeGek Lim, Chief of Digital Connectivity Solutions at G+D, said, “Our partnership is helping to design the future of IoT by guaranteeing innovative, secure and scalable connectivity solutions.”

The two firms plan to use this technology in all future GCT chipsets to help the IoT expand and make device communication more efficient.
