Sri Lanka markets itself as a luxury travel and tourism destination in India by organizing roadshows to feature cultural beauty, high-end tourism, and easy accessibility to travel.

The luxury travel and tourism in the Sri Lankan market intensify further as a set of roadshows are set in Lucknow, Chandigarh, and Jaipur on June 23-27, 2025. The campaign set out to target the Indian tourists and has promoted Sri Lanka as an all-season destination that entails genuine experiences, perfect beaches, and cultural diversity.

It dealt directly with more than 35 Sri Lankan stakeholders and associated with more than 200 Indian travel professionals, including hotels, resorts, and tour operators. Authorities emphasized that Sri Lanka became a very resilient country after the global disruptions, and tourism revenues will exceed 1.54 billion dollars in the first half of 2025. India was the most dominant tourist destination contributing 20 percent of the total tourists. Indians are experiencing free immigration and powerful air links with 90 weekly flights, which generate high demands for premium travel.

With a bid to develop long-term cross-border alliances, Sri Lanka is indulging in the boom of luxury travel and tourism as a mode of economic growth. The plan combines the availability of high-value services with convenient mobility, which is an indicator of its position as one of the best destinations in South Asia.
