Ezee Fiber – Award-Winning Fiber Internet Provider Redefining Connectivity with Speed, Reliability, and Trust

Reliable connectivity isn’t just about staying online; it’s about living, working, and creating without limits. It’s about those moments when everything just works, when video calls never freeze, downloads happen in seconds, and a smart home truly feels smart. That’s the kind of experience people remember, and it’s exactly what Ezee Fiber delivers—fast, fair, and reliable internet that changes the way people connect, every single day.

Ezee Fiber has redefined what high-speed internet should feel like. As an award-winning fiber internet provider, the company brings homes and businesses a premium multi-gig experience at a price that makes sense. Recognized by Speedtest.net by Ookla as Houston and Albuquerque’s fastest, most reliable, and lowest-latency internet provider, and honored by PCMag as one of the Fastest ISPs in the USA (2025) and Best for Gaming in the West South Central region, Ezee Fiber continues to set the standard for performance and dependability.

But speed is only part of the story. What truly sets Ezee Fiber apart is its human touch. Built on values of integrity, compassion, accountability, and collaboration, the company doesn’t just connect people to the internet, it connects them to peace of mind. Its commitment is for life, offering no-nonsense, no hidden fees, premium fiber solutions backed by genuine care for customers and community.

At CIO Bulletin, we had the honor of interviewing Matt Marino, the visionary CEO of Ezee Fiber. He shared valuable insights into how the company, with thousands of glowing reviews and recognitions such as the Nextdoor Neighborhood FAVE 2024 and the Red Dot Design Award 2024, continues to prove that internet can be both fast and dependable.

Interview Highlights

Can you share the story behind Ezee Fiber’s founding? What inspired the creation of the company?

Ezee Fiber delivers premium internet without the premium price tag. We believe fast, reliable internet should be simple, transparent, and attainable for everyone. Our fiber network delivers top-tier performance — symmetrical speeds, Wi-Fi 7 technology, and 99.99% uptime — backed by lifetime pricing with no gimmicks, no hidden fees, and no contracts.

Our commitment to credibility and trust is reflected in our award-winning customer service, verified reviews, and local technicians who live and work in the communities we serve. From sign-up to installation, Ezee Fiber makes doing business effortless — because great internet should make life simpler, not harder.

Though we’re headquartered in Houston, Texas, our reach now extends across New Mexico, Washington, and Illinois, and we’re continuing to grow in all directions with the same focus on reliability and fairness that has defined our founding approach.

Ezee Fiber is known for its award-winning high-speed fiber internet. Can you walk us through your current product offerings and what makes them stand out in the market?

Our business is based on doing these things exceptionally well:

Premium Product

Symmetrical gig speeds, Wi-Fi 7 with Eero, and 99.99% uptime deliver a next-generation internet experience.

Attainable Price

Transparent lifetime pricing — no bundles, gimmicks, or surprise fees. Premium performance without the premium markup.

Credible Proof

Award-winning service and top customer ratings reinforce trust and demonstrate quality through real-world results.

Simple Process

Easy to start, easy to understand, easy to love. From checkout to installation, we make fast fiber internet refreshingly simple.

Symmetrical speeds, low latency, and no data caps are hallmarks of your service. How do you maintain such a reliable network for residential and business customers?

Building a 100% fiber network from the ground up is an enormous undertaking. In the early days, some of our toughest challenges involved hiring the right people and placing them on the right teams. We think we’ve done a pretty good job of attracting talent, but we’re growing, so we need strong players moving forward.

We’re also heavily involved in construction. We have experienced people helping us navigate permitting processes, coordinate construction with multiple municipalities, and ensure we have a skilled local workforce ready to deliver high-quality installations.

We approach these challenges with transparency and collaboration—working directly with local governments, utilities, and neighborhood associations to streamline communication and avoid surprises.

By establishing regional teams that understand local regulations and priorities, we have built trust and efficiency into our operations. Those relationships, combined with significant capital investment—over $1.25 billion across our markets in just the past 18 months—have helped us scale rapidly and deliver infrastructure that communities can count on.

Ezee Fiber is a very active builder of its network. How are you approaching that topic?

Because fiber transmits data using light instead of electricity, it’s naturally faster, more efficient, and far more resilient to weather and interference. To ensure maximum reliability and resilience, we take a community-by-community approach to network construction—balancing underground and aerial deployment based on geography, infrastructure conditions, and local and state guidelines governing each area.

Wherever underground construction is feasible, we strongly prioritize it because the protection advantages are significant. Underground fiber is heavily shielded against severe storms, theft, and most accidental damage, which translates directly into greater uptime. We work closely with utility partners to safely share underground space and minimize disruptions.

However, we also support aerial fiber where it is the most suitable option, as it enables faster deployment and easier access for maintenance without compromising performance. Our infrastructure also features redundant routing and 24/7 monitoring systems that allow us to detect and resolve issues before they affect customers.

This thoughtful, adaptive approach—combined with rigorous construction standards and proactive maintenance—allows Ezee Fiber to deliver on its promise of 99.99% uptime and a more dependable online experience, even in challenging environments.

How do you think about product innovation and delivering value to your customers?

Our commitment to customers starts with respect and simplicity. That means no term contracts, no hidden fees, and no pricing gimmicks—just transparent, straightforward service. Every member of our team, from construction crews to customer support, is trained to take ownership of the customer experience.

We employ local support teams in every market that are invested in the success of every community we operate in. We also focus on fast installations and clear communication throughout the process, so customers always know what to expect. That hands-on, accountable approach has helped us earn high satisfaction ratings on Google (4.9 stars), high employee reviews on Glassdoor and Indeed (4 stars), and strong word-of-mouth growth across our markets.

Symmetrical speed—equal upload and download performance—is no longer a nice-to-have; it’s a necessity. With more people working remotely, learning online, streaming, gaming, and creating content, high-speed uploads are just as important as downloads. That’s why every Ezee Fiber plan includes symmetrical speeds, whether for residential customers or businesses.

Our residential and small business services already reach up to 8 Gig, while our enterprise business offerings go as high as 400 Gigs. As digital technologies like AI, AR/VR, and cloud collaboration evolve, we expect the demand for reliable, high-capacity networks to keep growing—and our 100% fiber infrastructure is purpose-built to meet that demand for decades to come in the communities we operate in.

What areas areas Ezee Fiber is focusing on for growth in the future?

We believe we are making progress in several key areas and hope to continue building on our current momentum and success.

Employment growth: Employment has nearly tripled, growing from around 250 employees in one location to well over 750 across four locations in a little more than two years.

Customer growth: Fiber-to-the-home customer numbers stood at less than 2,000 when Matt Marino assumed the role of CEO; by the end of 2025, we expect to have approximately 140,000 customers — including the 60,000 subscribers added through the 2025 acquisition of Tachus Fiber Internet, a leading ISP based in The Woodlands, Texas. The Tachus acquisition significantly expanded our service footprint across the northern communities of Greater Houston, strengthening Ezee Fiber’s position as one of the region’s premier fiber internet providers. Ezee Fiber is setting a higher standard of reliability, speed, and customer care.

Resiliency: Ezee Fiber was also tested early on when hurricane season impacted operations for all internet providers. But thanks to the ingenuity of its people, most Ezee Fiber customers in Houston were back online within 48 hours of a major hurricane event. Other networks in Houston were out of commission for many days or even weeks. Ezee Fiber employees put forth extraordinary effort, delivering generators to field locations to keep the network operating. Many spent long hours at the office — even sleeping on the floor — to make sure customers were being taken care of.

Delivering volume at high quality: Under CEO Matt Marino’s leadership, Ezee Fiber has built a loyal and growing customer base that values its simple operating model — no term contracts, multi-gig speeds, transparent pricing, and award-winning local service. The company has been recognized nationally and locally for excellence, earning honors such as PC Magazine’s Fastest ISP in the USA and multiple Ookla Speedtest Awards. Ezee Fiber also maintains 4.9-star ratings on Facebook and Google, reflecting the trust and satisfaction of its customers.

With the addition of Tachus and further expansion into new U.S. markets planned for 2025, Ezee Fiber remains focused on connecting more communities to the fastest, most reliable fiber network in the country.

Where do you see Ezee Fiber growing in the future?

In five years, we see Ezee Fiber becoming a strong, multi-region network operator, and one of the most trusted and recognizable names in the broadband industry. Our focus is on sustainable, strategic growth while staying true to our community-first approach.

We’ll continue investing in both residential and business connectivity, but we’re also looking ahead to smart city applications and infrastructure that support economic growth. With our regional office openings, we plan to stay close to the communities we serve and create local jobs while building networks that will power the next generation of connected life.

Matt Marino | CEO

Matt Marino has led Ezee Fiber since April 2023, bringing with him extensive experience in the fiber-optic industry. An accomplished telecommunications veteran, Matt spent the past 15 years in senior operations, sales, marketing, and finance roles at Altice USA, Charter Communications, Time Warner Cable, and Insight Communications.
