FFL Partners has merged its two portfolio businesses, Abacus Group and Medicus IT, into a new multi-vertical managed services provider (MSP) in the financial services and healthcare industry.

The merger emphasizes high-end managed services in IT operations, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence, while also addressing the growing compliance needs. The new venture will be headed by Abacus CEO Anthony J. D'Amrosi, which emphasizes the congruence between healthcare and finance-themed MSP knowledge.

According to D. Ambrosi, this merger will enhance our capacity to grow global managed services and will also add rich vertical experience and deep expertise and innovation to regulated markets.

The founder of Medicus IT, Chris Jann, pointed out that the merger would enable them to serve more healthcare customers, particularly in multifaceted compliance and cybersecurity settings.
