The collaboration between Microsoft and Nvidia at GTC 2025 led to the launch of Blackwell GPU-based VMs within Azure which integrated Nvidia microservices.
Microsoft made significant advancements to AI infrastructure during the GTC 2025 conference with its partnership work at Nvidia. Microsoft Azure declared its plan to include Nvidia Blackwell Ultra GPUs and Nvidia RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition for future AI workload infrastructure.
Microsoft declared plans to release Blackwell Ultra GPU-based virtual machines (VMs) which will enhance performance for generative AI and agentic applications during the latter part of 2025. Microsoft released the Azure ND GB200 V6 series which uses Nvidia GB200 NVL72 and Nvidia Quantum InfiniBand networking to enhance AI processing speed.
Microsoft enlarged its AI ecosystem by implementing Nvidia Inference Microservices (NIM) into Azure AI Foundry. The update allows developers to optimize their foundation model deployments by using Nvidia containers that speed up generative AI applications.
The partnership between Google and Nvidia allows both companies to optimize Google’s Gemma 3 and Gemini AI models on Nvidia GPUs which creates advanced AI processing possibilities. Nvidia and Google DeepMind released Newton which serves as a physics engine that strengthens robotic AI operations.
GTC 2025 demonstrates strengthening industrial cooperation for artificial intelligence development between substantial tech companies including Microsoft and Nvidia who work to expand their AI infrastructure and push AI innovation.
