Nokia deploys Google Cloud to roll out Autonomous Networks Fabric to achieve greater automation of networking powered by AI, scalability, observability, and real-time data management.
Nokia has unveiled its Autonomous Networks Fabric to hasten the process of large-scale networking automation, alleviating problems that arise out of legacy systems and siloed data. The platform is designed to bring observability, analytics, and security to the network domains together to conduct adaptive and intelligent networking actions.
Nokia has partnered with Google Cloud to provide the platform as a SaaS product, utilizing Google services across public clouds, hybrid environments, and on-premise installations. This combination also uses Google generative AI technologies, such as Vertex AI or BigQuery, to improve networking operations such as zero-touch remediation or real-time monitoring of traffic.
Nokia believes that the AI features of the system align well with managing data in a unified way and using data across different sources, allowing telecom operators to create data products easily without needing much coding. Telco-trained LLMs can be used by networking operators to provide general intelligence and automation of decision-making and service rollout acceleration.
This business decision shows that Nokia is dedicated to redefining networking and making it data-informed and automated. The team-up is also able to back 5G core networks by Nokia on Google infrastructure to facilitate expandable and robust solutions of networking in various markets across the world.
