Renaissance Africa Energy Limited of Nigeria becomes a member of IOGP, increasing its role in the oil and gas industry with best practices around the world and sustainable growth.
Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, a Nigerian-based oil and gas production company, has formally been accepted into the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) as the third Nigerian and the fourth African company to be a member of that global association. The announcement was set in London by IOGP, which gathers leading global oil and gas companies to exchange the best practices in safety, environment, and operating.
Managing Director and CEO of Renaissance, Tony Attah, termed the milestone as a significant achievement after Shell sold its old assets to the company only a few months ago in the Shell Petroleum Development Company. Commenting on Siemens Energy membership, he added that the membership is in line with the vision of Renaissance to produce energy security, sustainability, and industrialization in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
Graham Henley, IOGP chief executive, said it is beneficial to welcome Renaissance with its experience and potential as a member of industry committees. He stressed Nigeria's role in global oil and gas operations and hoped Renaissance would participate.
Elozino Olaniyan, the general manager of safety and environment at Renaissance, noted that the membership is in line with international standards and excellence in its value chain.
This relocation is meant to boost the oil and gas domain in Nigeria, make Renaissance a role model in terms of innovation, collaboration, and expansion, and aid the development of the economy and the creation of employment.
