Stuart Therapeutics boosts leadership as it moves to the next phases of ophthalmology therapy with the appointments of Tracy Valorie and Jason Werner to its Board.
Stuart Therapeutics has appointed Tracy Valorie and Jason Werner to the company's Board of Directors, growing the membership to five. The move follows the recent resignation of US Rep. Diane Black, RN, and the death of former US Representative Robert O. Baratta, MD, from the board.
Valorie has more than 30 years of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical experience and worked as a senior vice president at Bausch + Lomb; previously, she held senior level positions with Pfizer. In addition to his experience in ophthalmology, Jason Werner, who also co-founded Eyevance Pharmaceuticals, which was picked up by Santen Pharmaceuticals, is Executive Chairman of Sightstream Biotherapeutics.
Each expressed excitement to play a role in helping Stuart Therapeutics develop new technologies for ophthalmology. Interestingly, they are going through a disruptive moment with their leading asset, ST-100, during clinical trials toward the end.
