ETC and OrangeTee merge to create a complete real estate group-comprising broker, consultants, and proptech players.

The new company is just the merger of real estate consultancy ETC with property agency OrangeTee Group, announced at a press conference held on Monday (Feb 24): It aims to become the most comprehensive real estate company in the region, providing end-to-end real estate brokerage and consultancy services targeting individual buyers, high-net-worth investors, developers, and corporations.

It combines ETC's corporate advisory know-how with the proptech and agency network of OrangeTee to catalyze sustainable growth. After the merger, the new entity will engage about 520 employees and around 2,800 agents. The merging into the aforementioned entity is likely by 31 March.

Desmond Sim, presently serving as the chief executive officer of ETC, is going to head the new group company as chief executive officer, while Justin Quek, chief executive officer of OrangeTee & Tie, would take over as deputy ceo. According to Sim, the potential merger would strengthen the two companies in improving their competitiveness against changes in market demand and taking advantage of future high-growth opportunities.

The merger adds even wider international presence with footprints in Malaysia, Thailand and strategic partnerships in Australia, China, and beyond; OrangeTee has developed strong ties with international developers across these markets such as Australia, Japan, the UK, and more.

OrangeTee's Quek stressed that advanced proptech integration would mean that the new merged group could offer seamless, innovative solutions across all sectors of the property industry as part of enhancing their service offering to clients.
