Red Hat Showcases AI and Quantum Innovation in Africa

Red Hat announces AI, quantum and open-source plans in Johannesburg, enhancing innovation, hybrid cloud and enterprise technology.

Red Hat is faster at tracking innovation, quantum computing and AI in order to make organizations future-proof their operations. The focus of open source and quantum integration will be key to the digital transformation of the region, Bruce Busansky, the app platform specialist at the Red Hat Technology Innovation event in Johannesburg, said.

Busansky pointed out that Linux has continued to be at the center of investments in hybrid clouds through which enterprises can execute workloads and applications on various platforms. Red Hat is also aligning its AI portfolio to satisfy the increasing demand for speed, scale and flexibility with the help of the recent acquisition of Neural Magic. The purchase boosts Red Hat AI with performance engineering know-how to strengthen GenAI inference loads.

Red Hat president and CEO Matt Hicks indicated that the technology of Neural Magic will assist in providing AI solutions that are customer-focused, whether it is workload optimization or model training. Besides this, Red Hat also released the 10th edition of its Red Hat Enterprise Linux, which has high levels of AI preparedness.

The company has also launched Red Hat Lightspeed, which is a collection of GenAI services embedded on the main platforms, such as Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. Red Hat seeks to facilitate security and replace legacy infrastructure and create opportunities in financial services, as it has an increasing partner ecosystem.
