Rajasthan's green energy future brightens with Avaada Group’s massive investment to power a sustainable industrial revolution.
Avaada Group, a major force in renewable energy, has pledged a groundbreaking $12 billion investment in Rajasthan, India, to make the state a global powerhouse in green energy. Announced at the Rising Rajasthan 2024 Summit, this ambitious plan aims to harness Rajasthan's vast solar and wind resources, positioning the state as a leader in the global renewable energy movement.
With over 142 GW of solar potential and more than 325 sunny days annually, Rajasthan is well on its way to becoming a hub for clean energy. The state's pro-business policies, including the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme 2024 and Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024, have already attracted $78 billion in investments.
Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group, highlighted the state’s immense potential, stating, “Rajasthan's renewable resources and visionary leadership provide a unique opportunity to redefine the global energy landscape. Our $12 billion investment will not only drive green manufacturing but also create millions of jobs, paving the way for a sustainable future.”
Avaada Group’s journey in Rajasthan began with a 150 MW solar project, and the company now leads one of the world’s largest renewable energy initiatives by an independent power producer. The investment includes a $700 million pumped storage project, green hydrogen and ammonia projects, and large-scale solar and wind projects across Rajasthan, contributing to India’s renewable energy goals.
This transformative initiative positions Avaada Group as a key player in the fight against climate change, driving green industrial growth and creating over 1 million green jobs.
